Neighbourhood Pub
Your local,
as it should be.
Real ales, proper food, and a fire in the hearth every Friday. The Crossed Keys has been here since 1887 and we're not going anywhere.
Find usOur story
Built for the neighbourhood. Run for the neighbourhood.
The Crossed Keys opened in 1887 as a coaching inn serving travellers on the old turnpike road. The road is gone; the pub is very much still here.
Current licensees Sarah and Dom took over in 2019 with one guiding principle: a good pub should feel like someone's living room — one where the beer is properly kept and the food won't disappoint.
We have five real ales on the bar at any time, a guest cask that rotates weekly, and a kitchen that does the classics properly. No cocktail menu. No bottomless brunch. No apologies.
